Do Sandtray Suite trainings count for continuing education (CE) or continuing education units (CEUs)?
No — the training offered within the Sandtray Suite does not qualify for CE credits. The format (bite-sized video modules, continual additions) doesn’t meet the standards required for formal CE accreditation.
Which Sandtray trainings do qualify for CE credit?
Our ICST live/standard classes are eligible for 50 continuing education hours through the NBCC and the International Association for Sandtray Therapy (IAST). Southern Sandtray Institute
Why can’t the Suite trainings offer CE credits?
Because CE accreditation has strict requirements (e.g. course length, format, instructor credentials, assessment, record-keeping) that aren’t compatible with the micro-learning / always-updating nature of the Suite modules.
If I complete Suite trainings, can I get a certificate?
Yes — you’ll still receive a completion certificate when you finish the five initial modules within the Suite. But these certificates do not count toward CE credits with professional boards.
Can I combine Suite work + ICST class to count toward CE?
No — only the ICST courses (not the Suite) are eligible for CE. Using Suite work alongside an ICST class doesn’t convert the Suite portion into CE credit.
What should I do if I need CE credits for my licensure or credentialing?
Enroll in one of our ICST classes that are approved for CE hours.
Confirm with your licensing board that they accept NBCC or IAST CE credits.
Keep your CE certificates and class documentation for audits.
